High Purity Degassed Chromium Briquettes & Nitrided Chromium Briquettes

High purity degassed chromium briquettes are manufactured by the high temperature vacuum reduction of aluminothermic chromium metal.

The nitrided chromium metal is manufactured by the aluminothermic reduction of chromium oxide and then nitrided under vacuum.

The chromuim briquettes are used in the following applications:

• - Superalloys - to improve heat, wear and corrosion resistance
• - Complex stainless steels
• - Valve steels
• - Atomised hardfacing alloys - to improve hardness and wear resistance
• - Nickel base alloys
