Boron Containing Powders

There are four  major boron containing alloys of ferro boron, ferro silico boron, nickel boron and chromium boron. The boron containing powders are produced by either a carbothermic process in an arc furnace or by an induction melting process, then crushed and ground to specific size requirements.

The boron containing powders are used in applications for:

• - Hardmetal
• - Micro alloying
• - To match weld metal deposit composition to parent metal.
