The hypercal alloy has been tailored to provide a consistent reliable performance and designed to minimise the problems with traditional calcium treatment of steels. It results in reliable improvements in steel casting properties such as yield strength ductility and toughness.

Used in the Steel industry for applications in:

•  -  Prevention of ladle nozzle blockage
•  - Modification of harmful oxide and sulphide inclusions
•  - Elimination of straight sulphide inclusions in low sulphur steels
•  - Cast irons for improved fluidity and increased cleanliness
