Ferro Titanium Powder (Low Carbon)

Ferro titanium powder (containing 25 to 70% Ti) is manufactured in an induction furnace using clean dry titanium alloy raw materials and low carbon steel. The material is then crushed and ground to specific size requirements. The powder is used in the following applications:

• - As a deoxidant or reducing agent by incorporation into the flux coating or wire filler.

•  - As an aid to carbide stabilisation in stainless steel electrodes to prevent weld decay.
•  
•  - As a 'getter' in powder metallurgy.
•  
•  - As a filler or metallic addition to the flux to help control the weld composition.

Various compositions available upon request.
