Ferro Silico Titanium (Low Carbon)

Ferro silico titanium (containing 20-30% Ti) is manufactured in an induction furnace using clean dry titanium alloy raw materials, silicon metal and low carbon steel. The material is then crushed and ground to specific size requirements.

It is used for applications in the following:

• - As a deoxidant or reducing agent by incorporation into the flux coating or wire filler
•  
• - As a filler or metallic addition to the flux to help control the weld composition
•  
• - As an aid to carbide stabilisation in stainless steel electrodes to prevent weld decay.

Various compositions available upon request.
