High Purity Degassed Chromium Briquettes Low Sulphur Grade

Low sulphur high purity degassed chromium briquettes are manufactured by the high temperature vacuum reduction of aluminothermic chromium metal. The product gives a unique combination of low S, low Al, low O and low N, which is not possible in single step aluminothermic chromium metal.  

The chromium briquettes are used in the following applications:

• - Superalloys - improves heat, wear and corrosion resistance.
• - Complex stainless steels
• - Automotive components
• - Atomised hardfacing alloys - increases hardness and wear resistance
• - Nickel base alloys
