LSM is one of the leading producers of materials for the global metals industry, exporting over 70% of its production and is a member of the international Metallurg group of companies.
The LSM head office and manufacturing plant is located in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, England. It has a subsidiary in the UK; the Aluminium Powder Company (Alpoco) based in Minworth, Birmingham, with a manufacturing facility in Holyhead, Anglesey.

Environmental policy
It is the policy of LSM to ensure that the environmental impact of our operations and products is continuously reduced or eliminated.
We seek to achieve these policy aims by:
- Meeting or exceeding the requirements of all environmental laws and regulations.
- Ensuring that our operations and products are safe for our employees, customers and the environment.
- Utilising non-polluting technologies to minimise energy, material consumption, and waste disposal.
- Providing employees, customers, communities, public interest groups and others with information about our environmental performance.
- Continuously assessing our environmental technology programmes and monitoring our progress towards environmental goals.
Extract from Health and safety policy:
It is the policy of LSM to promote standards of health, safety and welfare at work, which aim to identify and eliminate or control risk to all employees, contractors, visitors or members of the public in so far as they come into contact with the company or its products, and to prevent damage to plant or property. It is therefore the company`s policy through proper planning and the provision of adequate resources, to do all that is reasonable to adhere to these objectives and to ensure compliance with current UK legislation relevant to health and safety.

It is the policy of LSM to ensure that our products and services give complete customer satisfaction by delivering them in specification through the application of a quality management system registered to ISO 9001:2000.
