Health, Safety and Environmental

AMG recognise that excellence in environment and health and safety performance is an essential part of the goal to become a leading producer to support global sustainable development and greenhouse gas emission reduction initiatives. To accomplish this LSM will:

  • Comply with all applicable local and national environment, health and safety laws and regulations
  • Recognise that no task is so important that it should be performed at the risk of the health and safety of LSM employees
  • Identify, assess and manage the environment, health and safety risks and impacts of our existing and planned products and operations
  • Identify areas of opportunity for improvement of the environmental, health and safety management systems, which lead to improved environmental, health and safety performance
  • Set challenging but realistic objectives and targets to encourage continuous improvement of our environment, health and safety performance
  • Provide the leadership and resources that will enable our workforce to achieve continuous improvement targets and objectives
  • Require every employee to take personal responsibility towards meeting environment, health and safety objectives
  • Include environment, health and safety performance targets in objectives for managers, employees and contractors
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders to develop and maintain a mutual understanding of goals and expectations
  • Promote initiatives for the conservation of energy and natural resources, reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and elimination of waste through reuse and recycling
  • Routinely monitor, assess and report on the company`s environment, health and safety performance and on our conformity with this policy

At LSM the Managing Director has ultimate accountability for Health Safety and Environmental compliance and delegates the management of these functions to the New Products & Technology Director.

The HSE Manager has the authority and responsibility for ensuring that the management system requirements are established, implemented and maintained. Health, Safety and Environmental performance is reported to management for review, including where necessary recommendations for improvement.
