Following the 2012 Annual Meeting of Mineral, Metals and Materials Society, held in Orlando, Florida, with over 4000 people in attendance, AMG Aluminum Director of Technology, Greg Hildeman, shares his perspective.
“The annual TMS four day Conference enables its members and attendees, from companies all over the world, to learn about new technology, to network with leading researchers in materials science and to establish business contacts for new products and services”. Greg, former 2004 TMS President, added “The sessions in Cast Shop for Aluminum Production and Aluminum Alloys: Solidification, were particularly informative. These sessions provided an opportunity to listen to the latest advancements in areas of melting, alloy additions, grain refinement, solidification and casting of ingots and foundry alloys”.
Greg Hildeman and the AMG Aluminum Global Technology Team look forward to working with current and new customers, requiring high quality master alloys, grain refiners, strontium modifiers and related products to meet increasingly demanding production requirements. “ Our Group has a global footprint through LSM UK, LSM Brasil and KBAlloys, with their plants in Europe, North & South America and more recently China. We offer over 230 years of collective experience in the field of alloying in the Aluminum casthouse and would like to invite our existing and potential customers to talk to us about opportunities for development of new and improved, tailor-made products”
