Steel Industry

LSM began supplying the steel industry with ferro alloys more than 60 years ago. Since that time mechanisation, automation, continuous casting, ladle metallurgy and process control have changed the industry almost beyond recognition. From being skills based in the 1950s the industry today is technology and quality based and widely uses computer modelling for process optimisation and control.

LSM's eutectic ferro titanium, ferro boron, ferro niobium, chromium metal and ferro chromium meet the highest standards specified by the industry and are used in the production of alloy steels, stainless steels, pipeline steels and hardenability steels.
