Founded in 1938, London & Scandinavian Metallurgical Co. Limited (LSM) is a highly successful manufacturer of high specification metals and alloys and an acknowledged global leader in the metals industry.
LSM is a member of the Advanced Metallurgical Group NV, (AMG), which develops and produces niche metals and complex metal products, and designs and produces advanced vacuum furnace systems. AMG serves industries worldwide with a unique combination of metallurgical engineering expertise and production know-how.
LSM’s head office and main manufacturing plant is located in Rotherham, England. The Rotherham plant together with its sister company, LSM Brasil SA, based in Sao Joao del Rei, produces a range of specialised products for the aluminium industry, the steel industry, superalloys, hard facing, welding and the glass industry. These include:
- A comprehensive range of aluminium master alloys and grain refiners.
- Chromium metal.
- Ferrotitanium.
- Nickel Boron.
- Special powders.
- Glass polishing powders.
- Tantalum and Niobium.
The Aluminium Powder Company Limited (Alpoco), an LSM Company, which manufactures an extensive range of atomised aluminium and special alloy powders, has production facilities in the UK at Anglesey and Minworth and also in Poland.
LSM has recently established a manufacturing facility, LSM (Jiaxing) Co., Ltd, based in the People's Republic of China.
LSM North America, based in Columbus, Ohio, has also been recently set up as a Sales and Logistics Office.
